Support to make eating more accessible and less stressful
We can really underestimate how challenging planning, preparing and eating food can be! This can leave us feeling shame and stress about eating on a daily basis.
I work with neurodivergent people to make eating more accessible, with strategies to support common challenges like:
Finding it challenging to feed yourself when energy, capacity and pain fluctuate
Executive functioning making food planning and decision-making overwhelming
Finding it hard to remember to eat, whether it’s because of hyper-focus or medications lowering your appetite
Having specific needs around food taste and textures
Common co-occurring conditions including:
Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS)
Mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS)
Hypermobility spectrum disorders (HSD) and Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS)
From my perspective, nutrition advice is pretty useless if it’s not actually accessible to put into practice. That’s why I work one-on-one with people, learning about their personal needs, experimenting with creative ways to meet their goals, and reducing guilt and shame around eating differences.
Forget narrow ideas about how you “should” be eating - let’s figure out how to accommodate your needs together.
