Group Supervision Series - LGBTQIA+ Affirming Care

Want to expand your awareness, knowledge and skills around working with LGBTQIA+ communities?

Join a supportive group supervision and co-learning series, with monthly online sessions over 6 months

Let’s learn together

Who is this for?

  • Any clinician who wants to increase their capacity to deliver affirming care to LGBTQIA+ communities

  • Suitable for early career practitioners as well as more experienced practitioners

  • Professionals outside Australia are welcome if the timing is accessible

What will I learn?

While topics will be guided by the group, this series is designed to help you:

  • Strengthen your understanding of different LGBTQIA+ communities

  • Understand specific health experiences and needs of people with diverse sexualities and genders

  • Adapt your general care to support LGBTQIA+ populations

  • Adapt your eating disorder care to support LGBTQIA+ populations

  • Receive individualised support from peers and an experienced practitioner

What will it look like?

  • A small group of up to 6 participants

  • 6 90-minute sessions over 6 months, each focused on a specific topic to build knowledge and skills over time

  • Sessions will include

    • A short educational presentation lead by Ari

    • Group discussion, reflections and questions

    • A case presentation by one group member, with group discussion and guidance from Ari

What’s the difference between this compared with trainings, webinars and online courses?

  • Live online sessions support accountability to attend and engage

  • Access to ongoing peer networking and support

  • Individualised guidance in a contained, confidential environment

  • A non-judgemental space to ask vulnerable questions

  • Co-learning on topics specific to the group’s needs

How much does it cost?

  • $150 per 90-minute session to pay as you go, or a discounted upfront cost of $790

    • This series is designed for participants to attend all 6 sessions

  • Equity pricing is available
